United Way of Morgan County is deeply grateful to Daikin Alabama for hosting the annual Daikin Golf Tournament this past Saturday and raising an outstanding $311,000 to support our community.

Because of Daikin’s generosity, United Way of Morgan County is able to fund 33 programs and 25 nonprofit partner agencies that provide essential resources and services to individuals and families across Morgan County. These funds will help strengthen our community by supporting education, health, and financial stability initiatives.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Daikin Alabama and to all of the vendors and sponsors who made this tournament possible. Your continued partnership and commitment to our community demonstrate the power of working together to create lasting change.

United Way of Morgan County hosted a successful Get on the Bus Tour yesterday in partnership with the Community Action Partnership of North Alabama. The tour provided an inside look at several of the agencies supported by United Way and the vital services they provide throughout Morgan County.

Participants visited Everyday Sunshine, the Decatur Senior Activity Center, the Morgan County Rescue Squad, and the Community Free Clinic of Decatur-Morgan County. Each stop offered a firsthand view of how United Way funding directly supports programs that improve lives and strengthen our community.

United Way of Morgan County is proud to partner with 24 local nonprofit agencies working daily to make a difference. These partnerships exemplify the power of collaboration and the importance of supporting organizations that meet critical needs across our community.

United Way of Morgan County’s annual Day of Caring was a tremendous success, bringing together 120 dedicated volunteers to complete 22 community projects across Morgan County—all in a single day. Together, participants contributed more than 700 volunteer hours to support local nonprofits and community initiatives.

The day began with a campaign kickoff breakfast hosted by GE Appliances, whose generosity and partnership helped set the tone for an impactful day of service. Volunteers then spread out across the county, lending their time, energy, and talents to improve facilities, assist local organizations, and meet community needs.

United Way of Morgan County extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated and helped make this year’s event possible. The success of the Day of Caring is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when the community comes together in service to others.
